122 Leadenhall - The Cheesegrater

The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.

Fruit and Wool Exchange

The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.

Glass Futures™ - exploring energy efficient technology

Glass Placeholder

As a founding member of Glass Futures, we invested in the Global Centre of Excellence in St Helens, UK, a new research, development and training facility for the float and global glass industry.

Glass Futures Limited, a not-for-profit research and technology organisation, has recently opened it’s “catapult-like” Centre of Excellence in Glass, which will have full plant utilities to accelerate R&D, innovation, technology incubation and implementation with its industrial scale 30-tonne per day pilot furnace.

Existing projects and areas of key interest to Glass Futures and its members include but are not limited to:

  • Development of alternative fuel technologies
  • Heat recovery, abatement and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) demonstrations
  • Secondary raw materials for recycling
  • Raw material and cullet processing technology
  • New compositions and treatments
