The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.
The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.
Curved glass, punch windows and precast stone panels make up the envelope on a figure-of-eight footprint.

Trivago is a popular tech start-up company that allows users to compare prices of hotels and booking sites and share their travel experiences. The headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany, occupies six floors spread across two buildings and offers many cool, trendy features such as a yoga room, themed think tank rooms, games room, and an indoor climbing wall.
Two solar control coated glass products from Guardian Glass were selected for the roof glazing: Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral™ (SN) 62/34 combines exceptional solar control with a high light transmission and a low U-value of 1.0. This multifunctional coating minimises the need for artificial light and offers outstanding thermal insulation.
Guardian SunGuard® eXtra Selective (SNX) 60/28 solar coated glass provides the ideal balance between high light transmission and solar factor, with outstanding thermal performance. Natural daylight is maximised whilst reflecting the optimum amount of solar heat away from the roof glazing, helping to keep the building’s occupants comfortable throughout their working day.
