How and where glass is used
How glass is made and what it offers
The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.
The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.
Curved glass, punch windows and precast stone panels make up the envelope on a figure-of-eight footprint.

Designed by Viennese architects, Henke and Schreieck, “Headline” was the first high-rise building to be constructed in the centre of Innsbruck since the 1976 Olympic Games. The modern, aesthetically pleasing commercial and office building is located next to the central train station, transforming the district’s appearance. The building marks the eastern entrance into the city centre, blending it perfectly into the urban landscape.
The five-story, slightly curved building and the eye-catching 50-metre-high, 12-story hotel tower give the area a stunning, polished sparkle. Headline houses Innsbruck District Court, the main offices of media company Moser Holding, and to the above-mentioned Adlers Hotel. On the top floor is a public roof terrace, with breathtaking views of the city and Tyrolean mountains.
The building’s smooth glass façade is a technical achievement in itself. Guardian SunGuard® High Performance (HP) Neutral 60/40 solar protective glass was chosen for its combination of aesthetic and performance qualities. This highly transparent, neutral-looking glass allows lots of natural daylight into the building, while providing good solar heat reflection and thermal insulation to help ensure the building is kept cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
