The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.

Description of the project

The renovation and expansion of the Kanawha County Public Library transformed a community mainstay into a stunning landmark in downtown Charleston, West Virginia. The crisp, modern design of a 20,000 square foot addition is nestled against the century old classical structure seamlessly blending new and old.

That impression is aided by the superior color neutrality of SunGuard ® SN 68 on clear glass. The high visible light transmission of SN 68 also reveals interior activities to passersby, creating an inviting experience for a beacon of learning.
