How glass is made and what it offers
The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.
The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.
Curved glass, punch windows and precast stone panels make up the envelope on a figure-of-eight footprint.

Located in the business district of northern Bucharest, the Cloud 9 residential complex comprises of premium apartments within four separate buildings, each with a glazed facade that helps provide high natural daylighting due to large-glazed areas, generous interior spaces, intelligent partitioning, and premium quality construction materials.
Guardian SunGuard™ SuperNeutral (SN) 70S coated solar control glass was selected for the glazed facades due to its abundance of natural light transmission, energy performance and solar control properties. SN 70S has a very light neutral grey appearance combined with high light transmission (70% in a standard Insulating glass unit*) and outstanding thermal insulation. The glass can help to balance temperature levels of interior spaces throughout the year, to reduce the energy required for cooling and heating the building, and to create a more comfortable environment for residents.
* 6mm coated glass, 16 mm Argon filled gap, 4 mm float glass.
