Designed by architects Jasmax and winner of multiple WANZ Glass Awards for design and innovation, 151 Cambridge Terrace is a commercial building that overlooks the banks of the River Avon in Christchurch, New Zealand. The building has a distinctive-looking glass façade that cleverly links the structure with its aqueous surroundings.

The building’s floor-to-ceiling glazed façade allows occupants to enjoy clear, unobstructed views of the river and its lush green embankments. During the warmer months of the year, sections of the ground floor façade can be opened up onto the street, giving occupants an even greater sense of comfort and wellbeing.

The glass for the façade is Guardian ClimaGuard® HP Neutral 70 – a highly durable, low-E coated thermal insulation glass that provides energy efficiency and optical clarity, while giving the glass processor, in this case Metro Performance Glass, high versatility in terms of processing the glass. As well as lower haze and reflectivity, ClimaGuard® Neutral 70 also provides an optimal combination of thermal insulation and solar shading throughout the year, helping to reduce the building’s energy demand for heating and air conditioning.
