What modern glass can do
How and where glass is used
How glass is made and what it offers
The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.
The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.
Curved glass, punch windows and precast stone panels make up the envelope on a figure-of-eight footprint.

Designed by GMW Architects, the Tower at 125 Old Broad Street is based on the existing building frame with total replacement of all cladding systems. Located in the heart of London’s financial district, the building overlooks St. Paul’s Cathedral and is close to the Bank of England headquarters.
Formerly part of the London Stock Exchange, the Tower stands out against the skyline, providing excellent Grade A office accommodation. The building enjoys plenty of natural daylight and provides a light, bright and comfortable environment for the occupants all year round and offers fantastic views of the surrounding area.
Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 62/34 (now superceded by Guardian SunGuard® SN 63) was chosen for the fully glazed façade. This double-silver coated solar control glass has a very light neutral grey appearance, giving the building a sophisticated, classy look. Guardian SunGuard SN 63 offers high light transmission (63%) and excellent thermal insulation (Ug value = 1.0 W/m2K in standard double glazing), making it an ideal choice for double-glazed windows and façades.
