Highlights
122 Leadenhall - The Cheesegrater

The 75,000 square metres façade features a curtain wall that is double glazed to allow for a high solar protection on neutral-looking glass.

Fruit and Wool Exchange

The new-build façades are predominately brick-faced, with punched windows to reflect the surrounding context.

Caudwell International

Curved glass, punch windows and precast stone panels make up the envelope on a figure-of-eight footprint.

Glass that performs and protects

As part of Guardian’s approach to bird-friendly glass, Guardian Bird1st™ Lami allows architects and designers greater flexibility in meeting a project’s performance while helping to prevent birds from colliding with glazed facades. Guardian Bird1st Lami is made with Saflex™ Flysafe™ 3D PVB interlayer with embedded shiny silver sequins on both sides, producing subtle twinkles that help deter birds, and giving architects the freedom to create facades that stand out.

Bird1st Lami - What you see from outside

View from the outside and the inside

The grid pattern consists of rows and columns of discreet 3D sequins that are 9 mm (0.35 in.) in diameter, separated on all sides by 90 mm (3.5 in.) When viewed from outside the building, the sequins subtly sparkle and help birds perceive the glazing as a physical barrier.

Logiform

FlySafe 3D technology tested effectiveness in reducing bird collision (monolithic laminated glass, no coating)
