Catawba Ridge High School

A new tradition of excellence

As South Carolina’s fastest-growing school district, Fort Mill added more than 1,000 students in a single year. To serve its increasing student body, the district needed to establish a third high school facility. In 2019, the new Catawba Ridge High School opened doors to hundreds of students. Building planners knew they wanted students to feel a sense of pride and connection in their new school, which includes a massive 412,418-square-foot primary structure replete with classrooms, labs and creative spaces, plus an athletics complex and outbuildings. SunGuard® SNX 62/27 on CrystalGray® glass provides a clean and neutral appearance to elevate and complement the largely brick and panel exterior, but that’s not all: SNX 62/27 is a triple-silver coating offering a high light-to-solar-heat-gain ratio. It provides strong energy-saving performance while delivering daylight that makes spaces feel comfortable and inviting – ideal for first impressions as students and educators begin a new tradition of excellence together.
