UCONN Science 1 Research Center

The Science 1 Research Center is dedicated to the interdisciplinary domains of material science and engineering at the University of Connecticut’s new 22-acre science district. The ground floor of the three-story building is embedded into a sloping hillside. The upper floors house cutting-edge research labs connected by open spaces – fostering collaboration and providing views of the landscaped quad and forest. Noteworthy sustainable features include a high-performance envelope featuring SunGuard SNE 50 on clear glass to optimize energy efficiency.
