Double-silver coating that delivers triple-silver performance

Guardian ClimaGuard 55 glass offers a best-in-class solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC)1, and provides powerful solar control to help reduce uncomfortable heat and glare without darkening rooms or compromising the view. It’s ideal for waterfront and mountain settings – and anywhere in between – throughout the Southern, South-Central and Northern regions.

Thanks to its advanced performance, ClimaGuard 55 glass can help window manufacturers meet and exceed ENERGY STAR® V7 requirements. Pair with ClimaGuard IS 20 fourth surface coating to further elevate performance.

1 Among mid-VLT products (as of this publication). Mid-VLT refers to products with visible light transmission between 55–65%.

ESv7

ENERGY STAR® prescribes a set of NFRC-certified U-Factor and solar heat gain (SHGC) rating levels for windows that meet its performance criteria across U.S. climate zones. It also defines a set of “equivalent enery performance” criteria specifically for windows that may be similarly certified for the Northern Climate Zone

ESv7

Center-of-glass performance calculated according to NFRC-100 based on an energy efficient frame with argon fill and warm edge spacer (IS 20 interior surface coating), and dual pane glass thickness of 3 mm and triple pane of 2.3 mm.
