Description of the project

Designed by Baumschlager Eberle Architects, the focal point of the Tic Tric Trac complex in Zurich is a creative mall that connects the three buildings on the first floor. The mall itself has a 700-square-meter open multifunctional floor area that serves as a space for events and informal meetings. On the first floor, stores and food outlets meet the daily needs of tenants and the local population. The exterior of the buildings is covered with a two-part, curtain wall concrete façade with extensive window glazing, part of which is curved. Guardian SunGuard® High Performance (HP) 50/32 solar control glass was chosen for the window glazing. The glass has a neutral-looking appearance with a high degree of transparency and a uniform reflected and transmitted color and helps to minimize solar heat gain.
