The Guardian Dielectric Mirror is an advanced coated glass for dual-function mirror and screen applications. When the screen is on it can be seen clearly, and when the screen is off the mirror is seen – with all the beauty and functionality it brings.
The Guardian Dielectric Mirror is an innovative coated glass for dual-function mirror and screen applications, such as hidden bathroom TVs or commercial displays. Switch the screen on and it’s visible behind the mirror. Switch the screen off and the mirror is seen again. This gives designers the freedom to innovate with electronic features and visual effects.
The Guardian Dielectric Mirror is available in two versions. DM 60/40 is ideal when the mirror itself needs to be the priority. It can reflect 57% of the light and has a light transmission of 41%, which also makes the screen highly visible when switched on.
DM 30/70 is the optimum solution for Framed TV designs. Here the size of the TV is usually equal to the covering mirror and so the display function is often key. Consequently DM 30/70 reflects 29% of the light and has a light transmission of around 69%.
The Guardian Dielectric Mirror can be enamelled, heat-treated, laminated and painted. It's also available in a range of thicknesses and dimensions on Guardian ExtraClear®, Guardian UltraClear®, or Guardian LamiGlass ExtraClear® glass.
