Description of the project

Hall 3C at NürnbergMesse is a stunning piece of architecture that was completed in 2018. Continuing the successful design principles developed by Zaha Hadid Architects for the existing Hall 3A that was built in 2014, Hall 3C is modelled in a similar fashion, with a trapezoidal-shape that spans more than 10,000 square metres. The inclined roof of Hall 3C drops from a height of 20 metres to 13 metres, and provide acoustic benefits as well as reductions in energy consumption and emissions.  The 3,000 square metres of glazed facades enable plenty of natural light to penetrate deep into the exhibition hall.

Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutralTM  (SN) 51/28 coated solar control glass was chosen for the beautiful glazed façade, some of which is curved. The multi-functional coated glass provides high natural light transmission (51%), while helping to improve energy savings and exceptional solar protection . The coating minimises the need for artificial light, and when combined with outstanding thermal insulation, helps to keep the building’s occupants comfortable at all times.
