Description of the project

The desire for energy efficient homes with a minimalist look and a strong connection with nature are driving current architectural trends. The Altar Prainha project is a collection of ecological holiday homes set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings in the city of Joanópolis, São Paulo, Brazil.

The walls of the homes are made almost entirely of glass, ensuring plenty of natural daylight. The architect chose Guardian ClimaGuard® Sunlight thermal insulating glass for its combination of practical benefits and enhanced features, including enhanced chemical and mechanical durability, thermal insulation and solar control – helping guests to enjoy their stay and be comfortable throughout the year. The glass has a neutral, transparent appearance that offers clear, uninterrupted views through the glass, helping to bring beauty to all sides of the home and connecting internal spaces with nature.
