Shark Tower

Puerto Cancun, Cancun, Mexico | June 18, 2021

Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral™ 68 on clear transmits the most light and has the most neutral appearance of any SunGuard solution. This similarity to uncoated glass gives architects the best of both worlds: Glass with a clear aesthetic and very high visible light transmission that helps manage solar heat gain to help contribute to the building’s energy efficiency.

By adding ExtraClear™ mid-iron glass, Shark Tower takes that clarity a step further, as the low iron content greatly enhances the color neutrality and natural light transmission to offer clearer, cleaner, more natural views.

Shark Tower

Sharks are essential for the balance of the marine ecosystem. Despite the significant role they play, they are one of the most threatened species in the world because of human impact. Shark Tower, a luxury residential tower with a distinctive shape inspired by the curving dorsal fin of a shark, is situated in the Puerto Cancun Marina. This seaside building furthers its connection to ocean life with a laboratory that seeks to contribute to the care and conservation of sharks and all marine species through scientific research and development.

SunGuard® SuperNeutral™ 68 on clear offers the highest visible light transmission in the SunGuard product range, assuring abundant natural light and clear views. When combined with ExtraClear™ mid-iron glass, this makeup delivers an aesthetic that ensures the compelling shark fin-shaped design takes center stage, while occupants enjoy bountiful natural light and beautiful views of the sparkling blue marina waters and the Caribbean Sea – and potentially marine life – without excessive solar heat gain.
