RIT Max Lowenthal Hall

Rochester Institute of Technology drives creative innovation among next-generation business leaders with an inspired refresh of this 1970s modernist structure designed by renowned architect Robert Macon. While honoring the forms and rhythms of the original building, this project adds about 80% more square footage to the facility, introducing lively new spaces for teaching, learning, collaboration and research. Its thoughtful mix of modern materials includes SunGuard™ SN 54 and SN 68 on UltraClear glass to provide a beautiful, natural look with balanced thermal and solar performance. Solar heat gain is further managed via ceramic fritting, building-mounted louvers and strategic shading.
