Guardian Glass was pleased to host a recent discussion event concerning future trends in environmental stewardship in architecture and construction at the delayed Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates | February 3, 2022Guardian Glass was pleased to host a recent discussion event concerning future trends in environmental stewardship in architecture and construction at the delayed Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Taking place in the striking Luxembourg Pavilion, the debate featured prominent experts from the world of architectural design and construction in the Middle East region.
It highlights a wide and interesting spectrum of views around how the sector can do more to address customer’s sustainability goals. Many fascinating questions, insights, and solutions on how we can all go beyond current practices and legislation were highlighted by the experts. Topics discussed ranged from a reappraisal of architectural basics and the surprising power of small changes, to energy efficient glass innovation and the new, global focus on retrofitting.
‘’This topic is central to how we all need to approach our work, and we’re delighted to help form the debate around how we do that, in the Middle East region and across the world‘’
Jasmin Hodzic
Director of Marketing and Product Management, Guardian Industries.
Moderated by Alan George, architect at the Orange Design Group in Dubai, our expert panel were: Khawla Al Hashimi, Director of Project Development, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority; Ramy Jallad, Group CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Freezone; Benjamin Beer, Façade Director, Werner Sobek; and Mohamed Diab, Chief Design Officer,
Guardian Glass would very much welcome further discussion with construction partners around the points raised – as bringing people together with different opinions fosters good discussions as we move towards a more sustainable future and seek to address the challenges the world demands of us.
