Ideally located in the heart of the dynamic district of the Saint-Lazare railway station in Paris, the SHIFT office complex has been completely restyled and renovated to provide unique, comfortable workspaces to suit more collaborative, modern ways of working. The transparent and contemporary architecture creates versatile spaces that allow total freedom of use. The building’s vertical white slats form an irregular sheet that gives life to the place. From the street, its façades alternate between white and glass, creating a vibratory wave that travels throughout the building.
Large glazed façades create transparency, with natural light reflected on the slats and penetrating interior workspaces. The building is also sustainable and has a double certification of BREEAM "Excellent" and HQE "Exceptional". In favour of renewable energies, SHIFT uses geothermal energy to reduce its energy consumption.
Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral (SN) 62/34 coated solar control glass was chosen for the glazed elements of the façade. With a neutral transmitted and reflected colour, SN 62/34 offers advanced solar control and thermal insulation, while reducing the need for artificial light, helping to reduce energy consumption.
