Description of the project

The 71,000 square foot Sam Houston State University Arts Complex serves to consolidate once dispersed facilities into one stunning structure. The abundant use of glass puts the creativity within on display, including a two story gallery featuring rotating artwork. Studios located on the top floor benefit from full height windows capturing northern light.

With clarity paramount, the project team selected SunGuard ® SNX 62/27 on UltraClear ® glass for its high light to solar gain ratio. The neutrality of the glass also serves to complement the terracotta cladding on the exterior.
