Description of hte project

The new headquarters of L'Oréal has obtained all four current environmental certifications in Brazil — LEED Gold, Procel Edifica, Aqua, and Qualiverde — which "makes the building, due to this plurality, perhaps unique at this moment," according to architect Ruy Rezende, responsible for the project.

The glazing provided by GlassecViracon helped meet the project's expectations in the best way. "Transparency and desired color, with excellent thermal performance," evaluates the architect. The façade of L'Oréal's new headquarters required a wide range of glazing make-ups to help satisfy the design requirements and high energy, structural, and acoustic performance defined in the project.

Guardian SunGuard Solar Neutral Plus 41 on grey glass was chosen for the building’s façade. The solar control glass helps to minimize solar energy gain, to maximize natural daylight into interior spaces, and to reduce the need for artificial lighting. The glazing has an attractive neutral appearance with a hint of grey.
