Description of the project

Located in Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Eastern suburbs of Paris, ELYPS is a nine-storey office building that benefits from a restaurant and 280 parking spaces spread across two basement levels. The location takes advantage of all the site’s assets, including its visibility, environment and access. The building is aiming for "EXCELLENT" level BREEAM certification.

Part of the building is positioned along Avenue Louison Bobet and follows the curve of the site. A number of perpendicular wings extend out towards the motorway. The building provides an urban façade that echoes the scale of the town.

SunGuard® SuperNeutral SN 70/35 and SN 62/34 were chosen for the building.
SN 70/35 is a neutral blue glass that offers solar protection while reducing the need for artificial light and is ideal for fully glazed facades and large framed windows. SunGuard SuperNeutral SN 62/34 doesn’t sacrifice natural light to meet stringent solar control requirements. As a neutral, high selectivity glass option, SunGuard SuperNeutral SN 62/34 offers advanced solar control and thermal insulation, while reducing the need for artificial light. With a neutral transmitted and reflected colour, SunGuard SuperNeutral SN 62/34 has been recently replaced by SunGuard SuperNeutral SN 63, double-silver coated solar control glass with a grey, neutral appearance, that meets current architectural trends in glass facades and windows.
