
GUARDIAN INDUSTRIES MOURNS THE LOSS OF ITS CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO - WILLIAM DAVIDSON
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., (March 14, 2009) - Guardian Industries mourns the passing of its owner and CEO, William Davidson. Davidson, 86, died at his home in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., on March 13, 2009.
Under his leadership, Guardian Industries has grown into one of the largest glass manufacturers in the world and a leader in innovation. Mr. Davidson joined the company in 1955, became CEO in 1957 and led the company from its humble beginnings as a small glass company to its position as one of the largest international companies in residential and commercial glass, automotive and building products.
Bill Davidson will be remembered for his legacy of leadership and excellence, his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for winning.
Guardian Industries has had a transition plan in place for more than a decade and business will continue under the leadership of the executive management team.
