
GUARDIAN AUTOMOTIVE EARNS GREEN DESIGNATION
Ten Plants ISO 14001 Compliant
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., (April 1, 2003) – Guardian Automotive today announced that its ten North American glass and trim manufacturing and fabricating plants have earned ISO 14001 certification. Jim Davis, CEO and president of Guardian Automotive, made the announcement. Guardian Automotive is comprised of a group of companies owned by Guardian Industries Corp.
“Guardian Automotive is committed to sustainable manufacturing,” says Davis. “The ISO 14001 designation is the result of employee efforts to meet stringent certification requirements and demonstrates Guardian’s dedication to sound environmental production practices.”
The ten plants ISO 14001 certified are:

ISO 14001 is an international standard certifying consistent manufacturing and business processes that help protect the environment and are beneficial to a company’s customers, employees and the community in which it operates.

Additionally, each plant is recycling scrap parts, creating processes that generate less waste, improving energy conservation and meeting all federal, state and local regulations, where applicable.
